“Only brush and correct cleaning technique can remove plaque from teeth. Pasta has secondary role”, says all professional dental hygienists. Remember  3 main features of correct brush:

Bristles are soft and thick (1500–4500 setae), without rubber massagers for gums.

Villis are tightly arranged, not tilted, rounded at ends and made of polyester – it dries faster and is less damaged.

Brush head is small, it captures 2-2.5 teeth, for more thorough cleaning. Handle is light, without protrusion under thumb. This will allow you to take brush, like writing pen, for quality and less traumatic cleaning.

Stiffness of bristles

Very soft brushes are designed for children and adults with diseases of oral mucosa. Soft are suitable for children after 4-5 years and adults with sensitive teeth. Medium hardness – for everyone, who has no problems with enamel. Hard recommended for increased tendency to formation of tartar.

Toothbrush life

Brush life is about 1.5-2 months, then bristles wear out and need to be changed. Even if brush looks like new, after couple of months of use, colonies of harmful microorganisms settle on pile. Also, be sure to change brush after disease. Link between bacteria in oral cavity and diseases of heart and other internal organs has already been proven.

Before buying face cream, you must consult with beautician. With pasta choice it is the same, hygenist advice is useful. Also, when paste choosing, pay attention to its composition.

Ideally, there should be no aggressive blowing agents, such as sodium laureth sulfate. The composition may be small amount of fluoride, from 1000 to 1500 ppm. It is desirable that pasta was low abrasive and contain sweetener.

It is good, if there are herbal extracts in hydroxyapatites formula (they prevent caries development) and enzymes (dissolve soft plaque and food debris).

How to brush teeth correctly?

Do it twice a day, regardless of meal. Do not brush your teeth in first 30 minutes after eating, when enamel is particularly sensitive. It is better to use sugarless gum or rinse your mouth. Hold brush with your fingers, at 45 degree angle. Toothpaste applied slightly, size of pea. Otherwise, foam will prevent plaque clean up. Don`t massage your gums if you don`t want to provoke periodontitis. Brush your teeth with vertical sweeping movements, from gum to tooth cutting edge. Horizontal movements will lead to plaque accumulation in interdental grooves and increase sensitivity.

Clean teeth chewing surfaces with horizontal movements from back teeth to front ones. Movement is allowed back and forth. Each section of jaw (there are only 8) clean no longer than 15 seconds. The entire oral cavity – no more than 2 minutes. After all teeth working, close jaws and, gently pressing brush, perform circular motion. Don`t forget to clean tongue (move from root to tip); many microorganisms accumulate on it.

Finally, we can say, that if you will revise this rules, you will never have any problem with teeth. Be careful with your health and everything will be great.
